A Casual Part-Time Appointment: SBAA English Tutor (LEC) At HM Prison Dhekelia External Vacancy number: 10/2009
Role:	The SBAA is looking to recruit a locally employed civilian (LEC) English Language Tutor to train and educate the offenders at Her Majesty’s Prison, Dhekelia.
Duties:	Specific duties will include delivering English language lessons with the use of practical and theoretical exercises.
Qualifications & Experience	Candidates must be fluent in the English and Arabic languages and have a high proficiency in the Greek and Turkish languages. In addition applicants must have a school leaver’s certificate and a Republic of Cyprus Identity Card , and have no criminal record.
	Competencies : Leading and Working Together – Candidates must be able to work without constant supervision, individually and as part of a team. Management of Work – Candidates must possess good organisational and administrative ability. Being Personally Effective - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills plus the ability to solve problems and make sound decisions are also essential. Candidates must show initiative, clear judgement and self motivation. Knowledge and Experience – Candidates must have previous relevant languages experience and proven ability of the above essential requirements.
	Desirable: A recognised qualification for teaching English as a foreign language e.g. TEFAL or TESOL and teaching experience.

Hours and Salary:	Hours are part-time, 2 hours per week at €20 per hour.
